The correct wattage is the setting that stays inside your exact coil's recommended range while keeping the wick saturated. Find the range on the coil or package, begin at the low end, and move upward in small steps.
Your device's maximum wattage is irrelevant unless the installed coil is designed to use it.
Read the coil, not a generic chart
There is no reliable universal table that assigns wattage by resistance alone. A 0.6-ohm mesh coil from one family may have a different range from a 0.6-ohm round-wire coil in another.
Use the full coil code and printed range. If the print is difficult to read, check the current manual or official compatibility page.
Start at the bottom
After priming a new coil, set the device at the lowest recommended power. Take a few shorter puffs. Increase by one or two watts at a time until the vapor and warmth suit you.
Stop increasing if the flavor becomes dry, hot, or less clear. The best setting is often below the maximum printed number.
Puff length changes the answer
A long puff vaporizes more liquid than a short one. If you prefer longer pulls, the wick may need lower power or more recovery time between puffs. Repeated pulls also raise the coil's starting temperature.
If a setting works for one puff but tastes dry during the next two, reduce power and slow down.
Airflow helps manage heat
Open airflow generally carries more cooling air through the coil. Closing it can make the vapor warmer and more concentrated. When you significantly reduce airflow, you may also need to reduce wattage.
Airflow cannot make an unsupported power setting safe. Stay inside the coil range.
Fixed-output pods
Many pod systems select power automatically or offer only a few levels. Use pods listed for that device and let its controls do the work. A burnt result in a fixed-output pod is more likely to involve priming, low liquid, puff timing, or the wrong e-liquid thickness.
If the device keeps changing resistance
Do not continue raising power to compensate. Clean and dry the contacts, reseat the coil, and check for damage. An unstable connection needs troubleshooting, not extra wattage.
