The bottle is only one part of flavor. A different coil changes the heating area and temperature; airflow changes dilution and cooling; power changes how quickly the liquid vaporizes. The same e-liquid can therefore taste different without either device being faulty.
Coil construction changes heat
Mesh and round-wire coils contact the wick differently. Resistance, surface area, and wick design influence how quickly the coil heats and how evenly it uses liquid. A larger high-power coil may emphasize different notes from a small MTL pod.
Specifications can explain why two setups differ, but they cannot predict which flavor you will prefer.
Wattage and airflow work together
Increasing power creates a warmer puff until the coil or wick reaches its limit. Opening airflow cools and dilutes the vapor; closing it concentrates warmth. Adjust both in small steps and remain inside the coil's range.
Old flavor contaminates the comparison
Cotton retains the previous liquid. Strong mint, coffee, tobacco, cinnamon, and sweet dessert profiles can linger through many puffs. Use a clean tank and fresh coil for a fair comparison between devices.
Residue flattens flavor
As sweetener and flavor residue build on a coil, distinct notes become muddy. A coil can reach this stage before producing an obvious burnt taste. If every liquid tastes similar, replacement is more useful than raising power.
The bottle may have changed
Heat, light, and oxygen affect liquid in storage. Compare the date, color, smell, and consistency. A bottle left in a car is not a fair reference for one kept sealed in a cabinet.
Compare one variable at a time
Use the same fresh bottle, supported liquid ratio, clean hardware, and similar puff timing. Change either the coil, wattage, or airflow—not all three at once.
