PG is thinner and VG is thicker. That difference affects wicking, vapor, throat feel, and which liquid works in a pod or tank.

Some warmth near the coil is expected. Rapid heating at the battery, charging port, or body of the device is a reason to stop.

A new pod can burn on its first use if the wick is still dry, the liquid is too thick, or the power is wrong for the cartridge.
